We’re returning from an energizing few days at the The AI Show and ASU+GSV Summit in San Diego, feeling inspired and ready to continue our work equipping students, educators, and leaders with the tools they need to thrive into the future.
Innovation Showcase
LEAP Innovations CEO, Scott Frauenheim, proudly represented the LEAP Team as a judge for the Innovation Showcase: recognizing visionary K-12 education leaders who are driving meaningful, system-level change in their communities.

The AI Show Session: AI By Design—The Chicagoland Coalition's Model for Student-Centered Innovation
Jessica Paulsen, president, and Stephanie Cardella, executive director, joined several of our partners in leading a workshop modeled after The Chicagoland Coalition for Human-Centered AI, where attendees had the opportunity to engage with our incredible thought leaders on collaborative approaches to AI literacy and integration.
Special thank you to our presenters who facilitated discussion drawing on their experiences as part of the AI Coalition: Jeff Finelli, the principal at Edison Park Elementary, Dr. Althea M. Hammond, the principal at Plamondon STEM Elementary, Sasha Peña, the head of employability at REACH Pathways, Lorne Rodriguez, the manager of enterprise GenAI at Chicago Public Schools, and Vishodana Thamotharan, the director of STEM Initiatives at National Louis University in the National College of Education.

The AI Show Learning Fair
A number of our partners also presented at the Learning Fair as part of the AI Show, showcasing the amazing work they do alongside LEAP Innovations. Thank you and kudos to Kate Fahey, instructional technology specialist at Lockport Township High School District, Jeff Finelli, the principal at Edison Park Elementary, Zachary Korth, the principal of Morton Elementary School, and Norrisa Pearson, a music teacher and instructional coach at CICS Bucktown, for their engaging presentations!
